Sell - Don't Spell
Once there was this seasoned, senior salesman, Sam, – sociable, well-liked – knowledgeable too. But he couldn't spell worth a darn, no matter how hard he tried.
He had a nice job working as a salesman for the housewares wholesaler. Sold ten to one against the other salesmen in the company. But his orders, all handwritten, in the days before computers, could hardly be read, except by one secretary in the office. She knew what he meant, no matter what he wrote, and she didn't mind, because he was the best salesman the company had. Then one day, the secretary announced her retirement.
A new secretary came to work. She bitterly complained that she couldn't read a thing Sam scratched on the paper. This bothered Sam so much that he started concentrating very hard on what he wrote, and didn't have time to promote.
After a while, the boss noticed that business had really dropped.
"What happened," the boss asked Sam.
"Oh nothing happened, I just don't have as much time to socialize with my customers. I'm struggling to get everything just right for your new secretary. So there's just not enough time left to even see what else might be bought."

A Book Produced by Chaim Mazo Inspired Donald Trump
by Donald Trump
There are many stories of inspiration that we can draw on from history, such as Abraham Lincoln and his triumph over many years of adversity, and there are people who are living and working today who have had success despite many setbacks and tragedies.
I recently came across a book by a man who survived five concentration camps as a teenaged boy who became a real estate developer in Los Angeles and encountered great success. His story is an inspiring one. [A Holocaust Survivor: In The Footsteps Of His Past is by Naftali Deutsch]
It’s good to read about people like this and to learn from their experiences. Mr. Deutsch is a great example of what can happen in this country and what can result from determination and focus.

Did you know that in the book trade, soft cover books are referred to as "paper" and hard cover books are referred to as "cloth?"
Did you know:
Forward is all about direction. For authors, Foreword is all about introduction.
The Foreword of a book is an introductory note, in various forms, often written by someone other than the author, in the front matter of a book.
If you search Google Books, you will find many examples of this misuse.
